If you're reading this, you're at the very least curious about using reusable wipes

DOOOOO ITTTTT

This recipe is SO easy to make, it has all natural ingredients and cleans so effectively

Fresh Bottom Babes you make the rockin world goo roouund

No?

Okay, Okay I'm done -- Lets Get To It!

Things You'll Need

  • Witch Hazel - added for its astringent and anti-inflammatory properties, Witch Hazel helps prevent and provides relief from diaper rash

  • Castille Soap - natural, gentle and hydrating soap for cleaning

  • Jojoba Oil - soothing and moisturizing, Jojoba oil mimics skins natural sebum which helps retain moisture. The oil also helps with the "glide" of the wipe so it doesn't irritate baby's bottom

  • Vitamin E Oil - moisturizing and healing

  • Tea Tree Oil - added for its antimicrobial and antibacterial properties

  • Lavender Essential Oil - added for its anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties. Helps sooth the skin, and it smells divine

  • Large 1/2 Gallon Mason Jar - to prepare and store your solution

How To Mix It Up

1/2 Cup Witch Hazel

2 1/2 tsp Castille Soap - I go between the Citrus Hemp and Almond Castille Soap (Almond is my favorite - smells amazing)

20 Drops Jojoba Oil

10 Drops Vitamin E Oil

6 Drops Tea Tree Oil

8 Cups Filtered Water (boiled)

In 1/2 gallon Mason Jar, add all your ingredients and pour in boiling water. Once the mixture has cooled, place the lid on and shake vigorously to combine

Another Method -- In a large measuring cup, or bowl add all your ingredients, fill with boiling water. Once it has cooled slightly use a whisk to mix thoroughly. Transfer to a bottle or jar with secure fitting lid to store.

Why Boiling Water? - Boiling the water first kills any bacteria in the water or jar before you mix your solution. This ensures the solution will not mold or have any cross contamination.

How To Use It

Once my solution is ready I pour it into an Amber Glass pump top bottle and keep it on the top of my change table, next to my reusable wipes.

Change time? I simply pump a few squirts onto my wipe to moisten it and wipe baby squeaky clean!

I love these Organic Cotton wipes, they're thick, soft, nice size and absorbent. They also come with a small storage bag which is perfect to pre-moisten wipes when we are out and about!

Once babe is all wiped up, I just pop the wipe in the dirty diaper bag and they get washed along with the diapers

These wipes are great for little butts, but also for hands, noses, faces and whatever else needs a wipe too!

The jar of solution I store in a glass mason, under the sink in my bathroom out of sunlight.

Give it a Go and Let me Know!
